Teen Advisory Board (Ages 13-17)

Would you like to help make the library more teen friendly?
If you join the Teen Advisory Board at the Chicopee Public Library you can:

  • give advice and feedback to improve services for young adults in the library
  • volunteer to work on projects to help make the library a better place
  • suggest materials buy for the young adult collection
  • get community service credit for the work you do in the library

Anime Club

If you like animé, this is the club for you! We have fun, snacks, and lots of activities.

  • We made 1,000 origami cranes to bring good fortune to Chicopee.
  • We are writing and drawing our own manga.
  • We have videos, karaoke, or DDR (Dance, Dance Revolution) at some meetings.
  • We collect food for Lorraine's Soup Kitchen.
  • We make suggestions and advocate for more animé and manga in the library.

Featured Event:
Homework Help Center

Come to the library after school on Tuesday and Thursday for homework help. We will open the computer lab (next to the reference desk) for teens to use (grades 6-12). The lab is for typing papers and using library databases. A librarian will be there help out. Note: this is only for homework, no email or internet surfing will be allowed.
