Description

Roy Belliveau joined the United States Army on February 7, 1941 and was assigned to the 57th Signal Battalion, 121st Radio Intelligence Company. He spent the next five years training and getting ready to join the war in Europe. In 1942 he trained in Iceland, then was sent to England in 1943 where he spent over a year training. In October, 1944 he arrived in France and from there took part in campaigns in Belgium, Holland and Germany before coming home to Chicopee, Massachusetts. The scrapbook and photographs in this collection were taken by Belliveau during his time in the army while serving abroad and in Europe during World War II.
